Proofread the interim and final reports of a high-profile provincial commission looking into the death of Mr. Frank Paul after being in police custody in Vancouver. The work required strict confidence as I proofread for typos, formatting issues, and consistent spelling, grammar and number treatment. The reports were complex and contained elements requiring special treatment, such as tables, appendices with legal rulings, footnotes, and reference lists.
“I have had the pleasure and benefit of working with Christine Rowlands on the interim and final reports for three commissions of inquiry. From the first time she provided proof reading services she has been my first choice for this detailed work. The care and attention she provides to her work remains steadfast from the start of the project to its final phase. She is thorough in checking out facts, remembers inconsistencies between sections and works tirelessly to get the job done in a timely manner. I have no hesitation in recommending her for future work.”—Leo Perra, Executive Director for the Cohen Commission of Inquiry (2012), Braidwood Commissions of Inquiry (2009, 2010) and the Davies Commission of Inquiry (2009, 2011)
